In June 2025, AU transformed and expanded its softball business by launching the Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL), a premier professional women’s softball league. In 2026, additional teams have been added, converting to a fully city-based model, bringing in team owners, and building out ancillary business, fan and partner engagement opportunities.

Athletes Unlimited is seeking hardworking, passionate, and committed individuals to join the AUSL Pro Shop Seasonal Operations Staff (SOS) in Greenville, NC for the AUSL Little League Softball World Series Game on August 5, 2026. These individuals will play a vital role in game day and/or practice operations. In this role, you will help drive the fan experience through retail sales and floor maintenance while assisting with the full lifecycle of shop operations. Candidates must be local to Greenville for the duration of the season.

Schedule:

Approx. 4-6hr shift on game day. SOS staff will be expected 2 hours before the first pitch time through the end of the game.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Engagement & Sales: Greet and proactively assist customers, providing accurate product information regarding sizing, pricing, and availability to ensure a premium fan experience
  • Transaction Management: Efficiently check out customers at the point of sale and manage merchandise exchanges or returns
  • Shop Maintenance: Maintain the sales floor by cleaning assigned areas and ensuring all merchandising follows brand guidelines
  • Inventory Oversight: Assist with ongoing inventory procedures, including garment steaming, counts, and consistent replenishment of floor stock
  • Communication: Inform customers about active discounts or special offers and relay relevant fan feedback to leadership
  • Seasonal Operations: Support comprehensive store Load In (prior to venue opening) and end-of-season break down (Load Out) procedures, if available
  • Additional duties assigned by the Senior Director of eComm & Retail, Senior Director of Sports Operations, Director of Sport and/or Assistant of Operations
  • Prior work experience as a Retail Associate (or a similar role)
  • Strong communication skills with a customer-first mindset and a friendly, professional demeanor
  • Trustworthy, hard-working, and able to perform in fast-paced environments
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and perform physical tasks including lifting, garment steaming, and store setup/breakdown
  • Availability for the AUSL @ LLSWS game on August 5, 2026
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours
  • Strong preference for candidates based in or near the Greenville, NC area
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

The rate for this position is $20/hr.

As this is a seasonal position, traditional employee benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plans are not included. 1099 Contractors are responsible for their own taxes and insurance coverage.
