The Denver Summit FC team, set to begin play in the 2026 season, is comprised of a robust and dedicated ownership group led by Rob Cohen, alongside a collective of impassioned local and national investors. This blend of local roots and broad support underscores our dedication to both Colorado and the wider soccer community.

Nature of Work: In collaboration with the Denver Summit FC, the Goalkeeper coach will create and conduct training and performance plans for the team’s goalkeepers, playing a critical role in enhancing goalkeeper performance, creating effective training programs, and fostering a positive and cohesive team culture. The position requires a deep understanding of the game, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with players, coaching staff, and team management.

Examples of work performed:

  • Collaborates with the Head Coach to design and implement a comprehensive training program that enhances player skills, tactics, and fitness levels
  • Designs and implements goalkeeper-specific training programs to improve technical skills, tactical awareness, and physical conditioning
  • Utilizes video analysis tools and statistical data to evaluate player performance, track progress, and identify areas for improvement
  • Provides constructive feedback, guidance, and personalized training plans to maximize player potential
  • Assists in analyzing opponents' tactics and strategies, contributes to the development of game plans, and provides valuable insights and recommendations to the head coach
  • Helps prepare players mentally and physically for each match
  • Works with the team's medical staff to monitor goalkeepers' physical condition and address any injuries or physical limitations
  • Collaborates with the Head Coach during matches to make tactical adjustments and provides strategic advice
  • Guides players effectively during high-pressure situations
  • Stays up-to-date with the latest coaching methods, trends, and technologies related to goalkeeper coaching
  • Assist in scouting for new talent, and draft prospects

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:

  • Lift 50 lbs. daily
  • Must be able to stand, sit, walk, bend, kneel, climb, grasp, stretch, stoop, and reach above head in conjunction with tasks for up to 8 hours per day
  • Must be able to work in a moderate to very loud environment
  • Ability and willingness to work in all types of adverse weather conditions (i.e. heat, rain, cold, snow, wind)

Qualifications: Minimum

  • Professional qualifications of USSF B license (or equivalent from approved federation)
  • Professional goalkeeper coaching experience at a high level, preferably in professional or collegiate women's soccer
  • Ability to pass NWSL background check
  • Ability to work outside of normal working hours such as evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the team’s schedule
  • Ability to travel extensively
  • Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire

Preferred

  • Professional qualifications of USSF A license (or equivalent from approved federation)
  • Possess a strong understanding of NWSL rules and protocols.
  • Ability to acquire or produce and maintain a valid driver’s license and meet company vehicle driving standards

  • Outstanding knowledge of the sport and detailed understanding of current and developing tactics, goalkeeper coaching methods, analytics and training methods
  • Ability to identify problems and their root causes, and to develop and recommend effective solutions
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions using sound judgment
  • Able to work constructively and positively in supporting colleagues and all aspects of club development and success
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated qualities of honesty, integrity, credibility, and solid work ethic
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to problem solve
  • Possess exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize/multi-task
  • Be a positive ambassador of Denver Summit FC and the game

Compensation:

  • Base salary range $135,000 - $150,000 per annum
  • Eligible for annual performance bonus
