Nature of Work:

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Manager to oversee the day-to-day accounting operations and ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting knowledge, ownership of processes, and the ability to improve systems in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and fixed assets
  • Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines
  • Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, league reporting standards, and internal policies
  • Manage capital transfers and maintenance – construction and operating loan obligations
  • Administer and oversee banking and investing activities
  • Partner with FP&A to support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Identify and implement process improvements and system enhancements to increase efficiency
  • Assist with annual audits and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors
  • Support special projects, including new system integrations, construction project accounting and operational initiatives
  • Manage one or more support staff

Qualifications
Minimum
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Proficiency in NetSuite, Excel, Google Sheets, and Ramp or Bill.com
  • Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP
Preferred
  • CPA
  • Experience in sports, entertainment, or start-up/high-growth organizations a plus
  • Familiarity with construction/real estate development accounting a plus

Compensation:
  • Base salary range $115,000 - $130,000 per annum
  • Eligible for annual discretionary bonus
