Nature of Work:
The Safety & Security Lead will help develop and implement safety and security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Collaborate with the Director, Safety & Security to develop and deliver security training programs for employees, including emergency response procedures. Investigate and report on safety and security incidents, including accidents, theft, vandalism, or unauthorized access, and recommended corrective actions. Address potential security issues proactively. Maintain records of fire and emergency drills and conduct assessments of safety and security practices. Works with law enforcement and emergency management professionals to conduct vulnerability assessments and ensure effective emergency response. Event responsibilities include responding to all safety and security issues in a timely and professional manner. Issuing fan warnings, ejections, and bans as required by the NWSL or relevant governing body. Manages oversight of third party security vendors and crowd management staff.

Examples of work performed:
- Manage the creation of emergency response and preparedness plans.
- Serve as Manager on Duty for various event types.
- Lead the creation, development, and delivery of various Security, Crowd Management, and specialty training in conjunction with the Director, Safety & Security.
- Provide operations management for event day Safety & Security personnel. Work closely with Crowd Management staffing provider and the Guest Services Manager to ensure the efficient and effective use of event day personnel.
- Lead the oversight of the stadium security contractor; and prepare staff documents, post orders, event brief sheet notes, staff deployment plans; briefing area assignments; break rotation schedules, etc.;
- Oversee the security staffing and operations procedures for Private Events and Experiences.
- Assist in creating, printing, and distributing credentials and managing building access privileges in a computerized access control system.
- Manage inventory of wristbands and credentialing process materials.
- Ensure credential boards are up to date for each event and properly displayed.
- Track and keep an inventory of security related equipment and materials including metal detector wands, cameras, radios, keys and electronic access cards.
- Assist in the creation and presentation of tabletop exercises with relevant stakeholders and first responders.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director, Safety & Security.

Qualifications:
Minimum
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 2+ years’ experience in a Safety or Security role
- Ability to lead security personnel
- Proficiency with basic computer applications (Google suite)
- Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Preferred
- Experience in sports/live events
- Event or Employee Safety experience
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Denver Merchant Guard license
- Ability to acquire or produce and maintain a valid driver’s license and meet company vehicle driving standards.

Compensation:
- $56,000-$58,000 per annum
- Eligible for annual discretionary bonus
