Nature of Work:
The Maintenance Technician Reports to the Manager of Facilities and Operations, in the daily operation, maintenance, and readiness of the Common Spirit performance center and Centennial stadium. This role is responsible for performing routine inspections and minor repairs, assigning and overseeing contractor-performed maintenance, and ensuring building systems are reliable, safe, and event-ready. Work includes coordinating third-party vendors, monitoring service delivery, and assisting with capital projects, regulatory compliance, and event operations. The Maintenance Technician works both independently and collaboratively, providing hands-on technical support while also managing vendor activities, scheduling work around event and Team operations, responding to facility issues, and maintaining accurate documentation. The position requires strong judgment, communication, and organizational skills, and involves frequent interaction with contractors, event staff, team personnel, and other internal stakeholders. The role is primarily based out of the CommonSpirit Performance Center with other responsibilities tied to Centennial Stadium and the Shared Use Fields (all on the same campus).

Facilities Operations & Hands-On Capability
- Ability to perform basic maintenance tasks when necessary (e.g., minor repairs, troubleshooting issues before escalation, performing safety resets, assisting contractors).
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical distribution, BAS controls, plumbing, fire/life safety equipment, and general building operations.
- Ability to triage and assess facility issues, determine urgency, and assign work appropriately with contractors or internal resources.
- Ability to support day-to-day operational needs, event preparations, and emergency calls outside normal hours.
- Assist in managing building and equipment maintenance schedules.
- Respond to maintenance calls.
- Responsible for general upkeep, maintenance, and installation including but not limited to painting, carpentry, ceiling repairs, plumbing, various installations (tv mounts, picture frames), drywall patching, furniture assembly, etc.
- Assist with regular checks and troubleshooting of tv’s, led signage, touch screens, video boards, equipment cabling connectivity.
- Knowledgeable in CMMS systems.
- Regularly review, identify, report, and execute on potential opportunities for improvements in the areas of safety, quality, efficiency, and cost reduction.
- Assist when required with general setup and tear down activities as it relates to events and meetings.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:
- Lift 50 lbs and push up to 100 lbs.
- The ability to bend, stoop, crawl, stand, sit, and reach frequently.
- Work in extreme weather conditions.
- Hours will vary based on event schedule and can include early mornings, late evenings, weekends and some holidays in addition to the traditional Monday through Friday hours.
Qualifications:
Minimum
- High School or GED
- 1+ years’ experience in the maintenance field.
- Ability to acquire or produce and maintain a valid driver’s license and meet company vehicle driving standards.
- Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Preferred
- Certified Pool Operator
- Forklift Certification
- OSHA 10
- EPA Universal

- Experience within the sports, entertainment, or hospitality industry preferred
- Ability of operating hand and power tools
- Carpentry, plumbing, mechanical, and painting knowledge preferred
- Electrical experience is a plus
- Ability to lift and maneuver a minimum of 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, carry, walk, sit, push, pull and move continuously during work hours
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Prior experience in Facilities maintenance or Sports Venue a plus
Compensation:
- Base hourly rate of $23 - $26/hour
- Eligible for annual discretionary bonus
