Position Overview
The Player Care and Liaison Officer plays a critical role in supporting the well-being and off-field success of our athletes. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for all player logistics, welfare, and lifestyle needs across both our men’s and women’s professional teams. From arrival to departure, this role ensures players have a seamless and supportive experience throughout the season.
Key Responsibilities
• Player Onboarding and Offboarding
• Coordinate arrival logistics including airport pickups, accommodation setup, and move-in/move-out processes.
• Prepare and distribute welcome packages and orientation materials for all new players.
• Daily Player Support
• Act as the first point of contact for all player needs and off-field concerns.
• Assist with housing, transportation, and relocation-related issues throughout the season.
• Transportation & Scheduling
• Coordinate all transportation needs including team vehicle access, rides to appointments, and airport drop-offs.
• Ensure timely attendance of players at training, games, community events, media sessions, medical appointments, and other club obligations.
• Player Calendar & Commitments
• Maintain a centralized calendar of player appearances, promotional events, and club obligations.
• Ensure players are aware of and attend all scheduled engagements and commitments.
• Meals & Nutrition Support
• Assist in coordinating post-training and game-day meals in collaboration with team nutrition and operations staff.
• Support dietary and wellness needs in conjunction with club medical staff and performance personnel.
• Community Engagement
• Support the club’s community initiatives by organizing and facilitating player participation in events, appearances, and outreach programs.
• Event Coordination
• Assist with organizing team bonding events, special occasions, and player-focused initiatives to foster team culture and morale.
Key Qualifications
• 2+ years of experience in a player care, athlete liaison, team operations, team management, or hospitality-focused role, preferably in a professional sports environment.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
• High emotional intelligence with a service-oriented mindset.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trust with players, staff, and stakeholders.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion at all times.
• Flexible work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and travel as required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
• Familiarity with the demands of professional athletes and high-performance environments.
• Experience working in a multicultural and diverse team setting.
• Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus.
• Familiarity with the USL ecosystem or U.S. soccer landscape is desirable.
