This role owns the merchandise lifecycle—from product sourcing and vendor management to inventory, retail operations, e-commerce, marketing campaigns, collaborations, and new distribution opportunities.
The ideal candidate combines strong retail and operational skills with creativity and a commercial mindset. We are looking for someone who will not simply manage merchandise, but actively find new ways to grow revenue, expand distribution, create memorable products, and strengthen the Fort Lauderdale United brand.
Key Responsibilities:
Merchandise & Product Strategy

- Source products and manage relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, and vendors.
- Identify new products, collections, trends, and limited-edition opportunities.
- Manage purchasing, pricing, inventory, product launches, and replenishment.
- Use sales and inventory data to guide future product decisions.
Retail & Game Day Operations
- Oversee merchandise retail locations at the stadium and training/operations facilities.
- Be present for applicable home matches and major events.
- Maintain organized, well-stocked, visually appealing retail environments.
- Coordinate merchandise needs for matches, tournaments, academy programs, community events, and other club activities.
E-Commerce & Marketing
- Manage the Fort Lauderdale United Shopify store, including products, inventory, promotions, and launches.
- Develop campaigns that drive merchandise awareness and sales.
- Partner with the marketing team on product storytelling, content, promotions, and launches.
- Create merchandise opportunities around matches, players, holidays, community initiatives, and special events.
Collaborations & Distribution
- Work with the Partnerships team on collaborations with corporate partners, local businesses, artists, and brands.
- Develop limited-edition products and collections inspired by Fort Lauderdale United and South Florida.
- Identify third-party retailers and community locations that can carry Fort Lauderdale United merchandise.
- Find creative ways to expand the brand beyond Fort Lauderdale United facilities.
Revenue Growth & Reporting
- Take ownership of merchandise revenue growth and new commercial opportunities.
- Track and report sales, inventory, campaign performance, and key merchandise KPIs.
- Analyze customer behavior, product performance, and inventory movement.
- Maintain merchandise budgets, purchasing records, and vendor information.
- Proactively bring new concepts and business opportunities to leadership.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in merchandise, retail, apparel, e-commerce, brand management, or a related field.
- Experience with Shopify or a comparable e-commerce platform.
- Strong inventory, purchasing, and vendor-management skills.
- Ability to take merchandise campaigns from concept through launch.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Understanding of branding, consumer trends, retail presentation, and product storytelling.
- Ability to collaborate across marketing, partnerships, operations, and leadership.
- Willingness to work matches, events, evenings, and weekends as needed.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to identify opportunities and execute them.
- Passion for sports, fashion, retail, culture, and brand building.
