About Fort Lauderdale United FC
Fort Lauderdale United FC is a rapidly growing professional sports organization based in South Florida, building a multi-sport platform centered around professional teams, youth development, entertainment, and community engagement.
Our organization includes a women's professional soccer team competing in the Gainbridge Super League, with a men's professional team joining USL League One in March 2027. Beyond professional soccer, we operate growing youth sports programs spanning soccer, volleyball, and flag football.
Position Overview
The Community Events Staff will serve as frontline ambassadors for Fort Lauderdale United FC, helping build awareness, engage supporters, and grow the club's presence throughout South Florida.
This part-time position is ideal for energetic, outgoing individuals who enjoy interacting with people, creating memorable experiences, and representing a growing professional sports organization.
From matchday activations and youth soccer tournaments to festivals, street team promotions, and community appearances, this team will help introduce new audiences to Fort Lauderdale United FC.
We're looking for enthusiastic individuals who can bring our club's personality into the community, create excitement, and turn everyday interactions into lasting connections with supporters.
Key Responsibilities
Community Events & Activations
- Represent the club at festivals, youth tournaments, schools, sporting events, and community gatherings.
- Assist with setup, execution, and breakdown of promotional displays, tents, signage, and event equipment.
- Engage with families, fans, businesses, and community organizations.
- Maintain a welcoming, energetic, and professional presence at all events.
Street Team & Grassroots Marketing
- Execute grassroots marketing campaigns throughout Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach counties.
- Distribute promotional materials, giveaways, and club merchandise.
- Support creative street-level promotions and guerrilla marketing activations.
- Introduce new audiences to the club through direct community engagement.
Fan Engagement & Ticket Promotion
- Promote upcoming matches, ticket offers, season memberships, and Men's Founding Member opportunities.
- Assist with fan data collection, QR code promotions, contests, and lead generation.
- Encourage community participation in club events and youth programs.
- Support ticket sales initiatives and supporter acquisition efforts.
Matchday & Partner Support
- Assist with fan engagement activities, promotional giveaways, and sponsor activations.
- Support Kids Zone activities, youth soccer clinics, and special events.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Ticketing, and Partnerships staff.
- Track event participation, leads, and activation results.

Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Experience in events, promotions, sports, hospitality, marketing, or customer service preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Outgoing, energetic, approachable, and comfortable engaging the public.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout South Florida.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and select holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift event equipment weighing up to approximately 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working outdoors in South Florida weather.
- Strong teamwork, organizational skills, and dependability.
- Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
- Passion for soccer, sports, and the South Florida community.
This is a part-time hourly position with a flexible schedule based on home matches, community events, and promotional activities.
