Events General Manager

The NYGL Events General Manager will oversee the planning and execution of all home games, watch parties, and other events. This person will ensure that every aspect of game-day operations runs smoothly and will provide an exceptional experience for fans. The Events GM will also manage relationships with production companies and oversee the sourcing and management of volunteers. NYGL is seeking a person who is team-oriented, collaborative, and culturally aligned with the NYGL team's mission.
Plan and organize NYGL home games -Work with GM to secure home field/stadium and be the point-of-contact with an on-site point person -Take the lead in organizing and planning all aspects of home games, including operations, logistics, and game-day experience Fan and community engagement -Implement strategies to enhance fan engagement before, during, and after games (halftime entertainment, vendors, etc.) -Create initiatives and events that foster a sense of community among fans, enhancing their overall experience. Volunteer sourcing and management -Recruit and manage volunteers for game-day operations and events -Ensure volunteers are equipped to perform their duties effectively -Oversee volunteers on-site at home, ensuring they are well utilized and supported Watch parties and other events -Lead and execute watch party events -Collaborate with team leadership to plan and execute other team events for fundraising and community building -Collaborate with team leadership to ensure the smooth execution of watch parties and other events
