We are looking for a Lead Events & Workplace Operations for the European Headquarters in Hilversum the Netherlands, to drive innovative and strategic operations for all activities related to virtual, hybrid and live Event Experiences!

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

You lead operations for all activities related to virtual, hybrid and in-person Event Experiences at EHQ and off-site. You will manage the workplace program, planning and strategic partner (talent) that successfully supports the EMEA event strategy and experience at EHQ.

You are experienced across all disciplines of event operations for B-to-B Events and workplace operations and have a proven track record in driving event and workplace innovation.

In your role, you represent Meeting + Events at EHQ working closely with the EHQ Management Team and internal and external partners and stakeholders by contributing with EMEA Events input and requirements for facilities, service and operating models.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

  • Drive the EHQ event infrastructure by designing and strengthening operational, analytical, and financial processes
  • Optimize and lead the communication plans to ensure flawless implementation of event program innovations
  • Pro-active contribution shaping the future of events influencing geo and global direction with EHQ event requirements
  • Drive and manage the B-to-B event operating model
  • Design and drive the operating model related to all event elements associated to delivering the Code Gates and Events at EHQ
  • Provide strategic input to support the EHQ Management Team in the Showroom implementation and Workplace Operations
  • Manage department’s financial processes including forecasts and reporting
  • Manage long-term internal-and external strategic partnerships
  • Leverage the strategic partner platform and manage QBR’s, SLA’s and SOP’s
  • Drive and manage continuity of (outsourced) resource planning with business partners and independent contractors
  • Manage long-term internal-and external strategic partnerships for seamless event delivery
  • Contribute with Events requirements to EHQ environments portfolio strategy and experience operating model
  • Influence and drive strategic decisions based on impact, agility and efficiency on Events with business partners

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

Reporting to the Director, GPS EMEA Events within the Global Places and Services team (GPS), you will manage various strategic partners and a network of outsourced talent.
You will collaborate with senior leaders and work closely with cross-functional partners to provide thought leadership, manage business relationships and execute Only at Nike Event concepts.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Extensive international experience in high-profile event operations
  • Proven leadership: coaching, inspiring, and driving teams
  • Strong track record in strategic partnerships and supplier management (Fortune 500)
  • Deep knowledge of the event industry, business events, and workplace strategies
  • Expertise in project and transition management
  • Skilled at influencing stakeholders and translating business goals into impactful event solutions
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
  • Business acumen with ability to manage budgets and competing priorities
  • Good command of Dutch language (plus)
  • Excellent presentation skills and willingness to travel 5–10%
