Job Description:

The Ticketing Intern will support the PPA Tour’s efforts to deliver a seamless, customer-focused ticketing experience from the point of purchase through event day. This role is designed for an organized, tech-savvy individual looking to gain hands-on experience in live event operations and sports management within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Software Maintenance: Assist in maintaining ticketing software and enhancing the customer interface to ensure a smooth user experience.
  • Proactive Communication: Support email and text communication for amateur players and ticket holders before and during tournaments, including schedule updates, parking information, and event logistics.
  • Customer Support: Manage the ticketing customer support inbox, providing timely and professional responses to inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and addressing fan concerns.
  • Credential & Ticket Fulfillment: Send, track, and organize ticket allocations for sponsors, media, staff, and professional players to ensure accurate distribution.
  • Event Logistics: Provide administrative support to the ticketing team to ensure all digital and physical access points are prepared for tournament cycles.

Qualifications:

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software tools (data entry, basic formulas, and list management).
  • System Adaptability: Ability to quickly learn and navigate new software systems and ticketing platforms.
  • Operational Agility: Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where priorities may shift based on live event needs.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on professional customer service.
  • Organization: Excellent organizational and time-management abilities; must be able to track multiple ticket categories and recipient lists simultaneously.
  • Collaboration: A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within a team and assist across various learning and development initiatives.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues independently.
