The Professional Pickleball Association (PPA Tour) is seeking a motivated and driven Sponsorship Sales Intern to join our Revenue team. As the Sponsorship Sales Intern, you will support the team in identifying, prospecting, and helping close new sponsorship business. You will gain hands-on experience in the full sponsorship sales cycle while contributing to initiatives that drive new revenue and grow the organization's partner base.
Responsibilities
- Support the Sponsorship Sales team in prospecting and qualifying new sponsorship leads across target industries.
- Assist in building sales collateral, prospect lists, and pitch decks used in new business meetings and calls.
- Conduct research on potential sponsors, including company background, marketing priorities, and decision-makers, to inform outreach strategy.
- Help track sales pipeline activity, updates, and outreach in the CRM, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
- Support the coordination of sales calls, meetings, and follow-ups with prospective sponsors.
- Assist in preparing proposals, sponsorship one-pagers, and rate cards for prospective partners.
- Collaborate with the Partnerships, Marketing, and Events teams to understand available sponsorship inventory and assets.
- Provide onsite support at select tournaments, helping the Sales team engage with prospects and represent available sponsorship opportunities.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, sales, sports management, or a related field.
- Interest in sales, business development, or sponsorship, preferably within the sports or entertainment industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an eagerness to learn how to prospect and pitch new business.
- Self-motivated with a competitive drive and comfort with outreach and cold contact.
- Good organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple prospects and tasks at once.
- Comfortable working with data and CRM tools, with interest in developing pipeline management skills.
- Ability to travel occasionally to tournament locations to support the Sales team onsite (as needed, dependent on internship schedule).
- Ability to lift 30 lbs.
This internship is onsite at our Dallas HQ located in the Arts District of Dallas, Texas.
