Summary:
Under the direction of the Sr Director of Game Day Operations, the Events Assistant will play a crucial part in ensuring smooth gameday operations and supporting various tasks at Zions Bank Stadium (ZBS). You will be responsible for assisting with setup and teardown for home games, as well as daily operational tasks and equipment management. Successful applicants must commit to working the remaining home games of the 2023 season.
Availability Requirements: flexible shift hours during the week, non-flexible hours on gamedays
This is a part-time, non-benefited position.
Responsibilities Include:
- Assist with gameday setup and teardown for Real Salt Lake and Monarch home games.
- Support daily operational tasks at Zions Bank Stadium.
- Help with moving, setup, teardown, and storage of equipment for all events at ZBS.
- Ensure the general upkeep and cleanliness of operational spaces throughout the stadium.
- Participates in improvement and upgrade projects happening within the stadium.
- Take advantage of opportunities to work in additional private events at ZBS, with the potential for increased pay and managerial roles.
- Collaborate closely with the ZBS Operations team to ensure efficient operations.
- Attend, observe, and assist, when necessary, at all RSL MLS Next and MLS Next Pro matches.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Available to college students (can work around school schedule) and may be used as school/internship credit.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Professional, friendly demeanor and attitude.
- Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent people skills, including verbal and written communication.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends to accommodate the team’s schedule and events
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous event experience preferred.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
The job requires regularly lifting/pushing up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifting/pushing more than 50 pounds or exerting heavy force, in a wide disparity or environmental conditions. The job involves standing, stooping, bending, lifting, pushing, typing, etc.
