Position Summary:

The Sports Competition Management Intern will support the Senior Manager, Competition Management in the coordination and delivery of sport competition operations, with a primary focus on the Paris 2026 Unified Football World Cup (UFWC). The internship will provide hands on exposure to international sport event delivery and post event reporting.

This intern will contribute to competition execution, development of post competition technical reports, evaluation of post event survey feedback and results, and support ongoing sport competition initiatives as assigned.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of sport competition operations for Paris 2026 UFWC, including coordination with stakeholders and on site/off site administrative support.
  • Assist in the development of the Technical Report, including compilation and organization of competition and match data derived, key outcomes, and additional items such as written communications and stories from SOI
  • Support the review and analysis of competition survey feedback and results, including identifying key trends and summary insights.
  • Assist with cross functional coordination efforts and internal process improvements within the Competition Management team.
  • Provide general administrative and project support as assigned (e.g., event operations, research, tracking tools, meeting coordination).

Qualifications:

  • BS and/or Masters’ degree required
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups, filters, etc) required
  • Experience with data analysis programs (Powerbi, Python) and visualization buildout
  • Experience with international organizations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; strategic thinking ability; strong analytical and reporting skills; effective listening, problem solving, and reasoning
  • abilities; adaptable, professional, and respectful. Ability to successfully accomplish multiple projects, with limited supervision
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
