The Opportunity
The Apparel and Merchandise Coordinator is responsible for the lifecycle management of all apparel across multiple gymnastics disciplines and provides support to the organization’s e-commerce operations.
This role ensures athletes, coaches, and staff are properly outfitted for training, competition, and official events while maintaining inventory controls and leveraging an inventory management platform for all recordkeeping, forecasting, and reporting.

This position will support the digital storefront success by analyzing product data, ensuring a seamless customer experience, and collaborating cross-functionally with departments and vendors to drive online sales.

Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management

  • Manage the ordering, receiving, inventory, and distribution of all apparel
  • Maintain accurate, real-time inventory records utilizing features like barcode scanning and mobile access to track items
  • Conduct pre-and-post event inventories and generate detailed reports for auditing and financial purposes
  • Forecast future apparel needs based on team schedules, athlete size charts, and historical data to optimize ordering and minimize shortages

Apparel Logistics

  • Coordinate athlete, coach, and staff sizing sessions and apparel order placement
  • Manage warehouse logistics for receiving, packing, transporting, and setting up all necessary apparel for national and international events and camps

Vendor and Budget Management

  • Serve as the primary liaison with apparel vendors ensuring product quality and timely delivery
  • Assist with budget development, invoices, and monitor expenditures for all apparel ensuring cost effectiveness and adherence to fiscal policies

Merchandising

  • Provide administrative support to e-commerce operations
  • Ensure brand consistency and cultural relevance across consumer products
  • Help increase e-commerce revenue

Site Operations

  • Monitor basic site metrics to identify trends and opportunities for site optimization
  • Conduct quality assurance checks, troubleshoot issues, and ensure accurate pricing and inventory

Qualifications and Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in business, sports equipment management, athletic apparel, team logistics, merchandising or related field
  • Strong administrative experience and meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable improvements
  • Demonstrated experience with inventory management software
  • Ability to cultivate positive relationships
  • Ability to proactively problem-solve with a positive, solutions-oriented mindset
  • Accountable and willing to make decisions
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams and levels of the organization
  • Able to lift 30 pounds
  • Forklift certification a plus but not required

Other Information

  • Position is based in Indianapolis, Indiana – currently a hybrid work environment
    • Position is required to be in office at a minimum 1-3 days a week
  • Salary and benefits commensurate with experience
    • In compliance with applicable state and local laws, compensation details will be shared during the hiring process
    • Weekend work and some travel may be required
