The Role
The Senior Manager, Impact Societies & Major Gifts is a fundraising professional responsible for helping the Foundation reach its annual fundraising goal:
- Leading the strategy, annual engagement plan, & day to day operations of the USTA Foundation’s Base & Premier Giving Society levels for individuals & families
- Leading the marketing, stewardship, growth, renewal, and upgrade strategies for all USTA Foundation Impact Societies.
- Using Salesforce, Wealth X, and Wealth Engine to identify opportunities & trends for membership growth.
- Managing a portfolio of new and prospective donors, focusing on growing our $10,000 and $25,000 Impact Society levels
Key duties, but not limited to:
- In conjunction with the Director, Major Gifts & Strategic Initiatives, create a marketing plan for all USTA Foundation Impact Societies.
- Develop an annual calendar for each Giving Society level and own the creation of an outstanding “donor journey” and engagement plan for each Giving Society member by level
- Serve as the main point of contact for select Giving Society levels
- Collaborate with Director, Major Gifts & Strategic Initiatives and Director, Marketing, to lead all Giving Society recruit efforts (including digital and print annual appeals, etc..)
- Develop strategies & processes around matching gift & wealth research that advise renewal & upgrade opportunities for Giving Society members
- Build and regularly update Giving Society marketing materials, sell sheets, impact reports, and “surprise and delight” stewardship touches that exist within a Giving Society Sales toolkit
- Responsible for recording & updating all Giving Society information within Salesforce
- Identify and manage a portfolio of 100+ prospects with a giving capacity of $25,000 or more, including identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship
- Engage in prospect research, develop strategies, prepare Giving Society proposals and materials including written documentation for accurate gift recording, and acknowledgments
- Work collaboratively with units across the USTAF and USTA to illustrate the impact of Giving Society gifts as vividly & frequently as possible
- Serve as Giving Society “subject matter expert” for all USTAF & USTA colleagues
- Use Salesforce to develop Giving Society reports & a robust Giving Society dashboard
Who You Are
- 5+ years of professional experience in nonprofit fundraising or sales with a track record of success in raising individual, corporate, and foundation contributions, and developing strong donor / client relationships.
- Must be confident about raising money. Shown success in securing gifts.
- Background in fundraising techniques, proposal writing, and stewardship techniques.
- Background in new-product development and marketing.
- Exhibits an entrepreneurial & collaborative spirit.
- Ability to optimally navigate relationships in a highly political environment.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and careful attention to detail.
- Excellent communicator (written, verbal and interpersonal skills), solution-oriented and creative thinker.
- Excellent computer and research skills, including the use of Salesforce and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Experienced presenter to various individuals and groups.
- Ability to achieve common goals independently and as a team member.
- This position is designated as "hybrid/flex" in New York, and may allow for both remote and on-site work. Any such position must meet the current USTA hybrid/flex requirements as updated from time to time. Please consult HR for the most current policy.

The expected range for the base salary for this position is $80,000 - 95,000. This range does not include any additional pay or benefits for which a person may qualify. The actual base salary offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, the years of relevant experience, their unique skills, and the location from which they will be performing the job.
