Who We Are

We are Tennis! The USTA (United States Tennis Association) is the national governing body for the sport of tennis and the leader in promoting and developing the sport’s growth on every level in the United States, from local communities to the crown jewel of the professional game, the US Open.

Why Work for the USTA?

We are a passionate team of staff and volunteers focused on growing the sport of tennis and making it accessible to all. We are committed to removing barriers and creating opportunities for ALL to participate. Don’t know tennis? Don't worry, you can still find yourself in the game!

The Role

We're seeking a Contract Talent Development Specialist to translate leadership insights into robust, actionable development programming. The frameworks and competency grids already exist — your work starts where they leave off. Using the data, notes, and feedback our leadership team has gathered, you'll design tailored learning initiatives that give employees the exact skills, experiences, and coaching they need to grow in their current roles and prepare for what comes next.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis & Deep Dives: Review and analyze data to identify specific skill gaps, themes, and development needs across the organization.
  • Curate L&D Programming: Map existing learning resources (or recommend targeted external solutions) to identified needs, focusing on core competencies, critical experiences, and skill gaps.
  • Actionable Tools for Managers: Create simple, structured guides or enablement tools so managers can effectively support and track their team members' development goals.

Who You Are

  • Experience: 5+ years in Learning & Development, Talent Management, or Coaching, with a focus on creating development programs.
  • IDP Expertise: Proven experience translating leader input and assessment data into specific, measurable, realistic individual development goals.
  • Analytical & Strategic Thinking: The ability to interpret qualitative data from leaders, spot overarching development trends across a group, and build programming to address them.
  • Independent Execution: Comfortable working from existing documentation with minimal hand-holding, and passionate about the "how" — turning high-level talent insights into practical, everyday growth actions.
  • Must be able to work onsite 3 days per week at our Corp HQ office (Purchase, NY) from August 10, 2026 through the end of the year

What We Offer

The expected pay range for this position is between $100.00 - $150.00 per hour. The actual base rate offered will be determined by several factors, including the candidate’s qualifications, relevant experience, unique skills, and work location.

Come One, Come All

We strongly encourage you to apply if you’re interested; we'd love to learn how you can “serve” our team with your unique experience!
