For the second time in as many weeks, the USA will take center stage at the 2026 FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series, this time in Debrecen, Hungary, from Aug. 27-28.

The Competition

The United States’ quartet, which features Taylor Bigby, Mikayla Blakes, Aerial Powers and Madison Scott, will take the floor as the No. 7 overall seed in a 12-team event.

The Americans ignite Pool B action with a test against Rapid Bucharest (ROU) at 12:25 p.m. ET before a bout against Ukraine (UKR) at 2:15 p.m. ET to wrap up pool play on Thursday.

To advance to elimination bracket play, the USA will need to finish as one of the top two teams in their pool. If they prevail, they will suit up in the tournament’s quarterfinal round beginning at 11:45 a.m. ET on Aug. 28.

Following four games in the round, the semifinal stage will take place at 1:35 p.m. ET before the final at 2:50 p.m. ET.

Rapid Bucharest (ROU) and Netherlands (NED) hold the top two overall seeds in the tournament. Both teams, like the USA, qualified by way of automatic allocation based on FIBA 3x3 Team Ranking system points.

The USA

Bigby, Blakes, Powers and Scott will represent the United States as a unit for the third time this summer. The group made its debut at the 3x3 Women's Series Tokyo earlier this month, but each player boasts prior USA Basketball experience.

In 2025, Bigby, a 6-foot-1 guard who spent her college career split between the University of Oregon, USC and TCU, donned the red, white and blue as a member of the 2025 USA Women’s 3x3 Nations League Team. Scott, a 6-foot-2 defensive stalwart, appeared on three FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series stops and helped guide the U.S. to a competition-best 15-2 mark at the 3x3 Nations League Americas Conference in Chile in 2023.

Blakes, the current Vanderbilt standout and newcomer to the 3x3 Women’s Series, was named 2025 USA Basketball Female Athlete of the Year after securing a gold medal at the 2025 FIBA Women’s AmeriCup. Powers, a 10-year WNBA veteran, is making her return to the USA Basketball scene for the first time since participating in trials for the 2022 USA Women’s National Team ahead of the FIBA World Cup.

Last Time Out

The quartet last suited up together for the FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series Bordeaux held on Aug. 19-20. They entered the tournament as the No. 10 overall seed, but after going undefeated through a pair of pool play games and securing a quarterfinal round victory, were eliminated from the circuit in the semifinals for a third place finish. Blakes led the way with 26 points through four appearances in France.
